After graduating CHS in 1981, Michele (St. Pierre) Sweeney attained her
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
and her Master of Science in Management from MIT. She spent her career in high
tech working both at semiconductor as well as multi-physics simulation software
innovators, holding positions ranging from entry level through various global vice-
presidential leadership roles. Her passion has been bridging the gap between
technology and societal benefit.
In addition to her career, Michele is committed to several social causes including
encouraging faith-based marriages and parenting through both Home
Improvement Ministries and Camp Berea, and community outreach through Caring
Canines. Michele co-founded The Fairyland Project during the Covid-19 pandemic
for young families to get outdoors and have fun. She also is active in encouraging
young women and girls to pursue STEM careers through The Women’s Foundation
of Boston, the Women In Technology Group, as well as the Women in Science and
Engineering (WISE) Scholarship through CHS Alumni Foundation.
Michele and her husband, Tom Sweeney, have 4 children who are also
passionate about education and community service. She is eternally thankful for
the inspirational role models who helped set and guide her path: her parents,
sisters, and CHS teachers.
