Donna Rowles Beaudoin Bio ’88

Donna Rowles Beaudoin graduated from Coventry High School in 1988, earning recognition as the school’s Outstanding Female Athlete after lettering in tennis, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. She continued her education at the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in Biology. She then attended Providence College, where she earned her teaching certificate in General Science and later completed a master’s degree in School Counseling.

In 1994, Donna returned to her roots, beginning her career as a science teacher at Coventry Middle School. For 11 years, she inspired students in the classroom while also serving as a team leader and coaching girls’ basketball and softball. In 2004, she realized her ultimate career goal when she joined the Coventry High School Counseling Department. Ten years later, she stepped into a leadership role as Director of Student Services, a position she has held for the past 11 years. In this role, she oversees the entire School Counseling Department, guiding students as they prepare for life after high school, managing the master schedule, and coordinating student award ceremonies.

Donna’s leadership extends far beyond School Counseling. She has served on several committees, including the School Improvement Team and the Crisis Support Team, consistently working to strengthen the CHS community. She has spent countless hours volunteering at different events and attending fundraisers, all to support students at CHS. Her deep passion for athletics has also left a lasting impact. She coached girls’ varsity basketball for 15 years, girls’ soccer for 11 years, and in 2022, she became the Assistant Athletic Director. Beyond the field and court, she has been equally dedicated to student life, serving as the Senior Class Advisor. In that role, she has supported students through every milestone of their final year—senior activities, prom, awards ceremonies, and the planning of the graduation ceremony.

A lifelong resident of Coventry, Donna has always valued the strong ties between family, school, and community. She and her husband raised their children as proud Oakers, both of whom graduated from CHS. Her service extended beyond the school as well, coaching for the Coventry Soccer Association and the Coventry Basketball Association for many years. She has impacted thousands of students over her career and at the heart of her work—whether as a school leader, counselor, coach, or athletic director—Donna makes every decision my asking herself one simple reflection: If this student were my own child, what would I see as the best choice for them, and how would I hope they would be cared for?
