Dawn (Mroz) Fusco’s Bio

Dawn (Mroz) Fusco is an outstanding example of someone who has given so much of themselves to the community they love. Dawn has lived most of her life in Coventry, and has spent over 15 years demonstrating a tireless devotion to the children of our town. Through countless volunteer efforts, all focused on improving the environment within our schools for our students, teachers and families alike, Dawn has truly made Coventry and Coventry High School better places to be.

Dawn has served in a wide variety of school-focused volunteer leadership positions including CHS PTSA President, CHS Booster Club President, Capstone Judge, and Western Coventry School Volunteer Coordinator, to name a few. She was a founding member of the Greene School Board of Directors, a mentor for the RI Mentoring Partnership, and a 2016 graduate of the Coventry Citizen’s Police Academy. Dawn graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1993, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Her professional experience includes time as a human resources trainer, Coventry Substitute Teacher, RI National Assessment Administrator, and Coventry Board of Canvassers Polling Moderator.

Dawn is one of those rare individuals that lives by doing. She sees where help is needed and proactively jumps in. Her most recognizable accomplishments were entirely voluntary and have been almost exclusively dedicated to making things better for the students and teachers of Coventry. She truly represents the best of our town, and is most deserving of induction into the Coventry High School Alumni Hall of Fame.
