Philip Casacalenda III is a lifelong resident of Coventry and a prime example of someone who devotes himself to the community. Being a resident for 40 plus years and working alongside his late father, role model and legacy; Philip Casacalenda Jr., Phil and his father devoted themselves to creating a successful business; West Warwick Auto Body. Beginning his career as a young boy, Phil enjoyed towing cars and learning about the car industry. An iconic duo, Phil and his late father became entrepreneurs and continued their success in the community through various affiliations. 

Apart of his success includes his Coventry High School sweetheart, best friend and wife of 40 years, Carmella with whom they share 3 beautiful daughters. In addition to his devotion to his family and friends Philip also ensures to build a bond with each one of his customers and ensures to have a positive relationship with his employees. To maintain his successful business, he continues his education throughout taking several classes to obtain certifications in elements that make his auto body shop stand out above the rest. Specifically, West Warwick Auto Body won the Reader’s Choice Award 2022 presented by the Providence Journal for being voted the best Auto Body in Rhode Island. This accolade represents the success that Philip Jr. & Philip Sr. built together. 

Phil’s contribution to the community doesn’t end there. He also demonstrates excellence and perseverance through obtaining his broker’s license and pursuing a passion for commercial real estate. Nevertheless, he is an active board member of the Housing Committee for Coventry and was a part of the Centerville Bank board for many years. Furthermore, he is on the board for the Automotive Program at Coventry High School as well as New England Institute of Technology helping to inspire students to follow their dream in the automotive industry. To further support the students of Coventry, Phil donates to the Coventry Alumni Scholarships annually to help students follow their dreams. His passion for helping everyone in the community is something Phil takes honor in, always there to help without any questions asked, without seeking recognition. Phil is a success in business and more importantly in life and family due to putting the needs of others and the ones he loves before his own. Overall, Philip continues to leave a footprint in this community and continues to pursue the legacy of him and his father.
